There are certain professional events in the year that stand out. This is one of them and in the week before, it is a good moment to share an update (one that I already sent out to the 1632 readers of Juice News).
For roughly 25 years my main goal in business has been and still is connecting people.
Over time, I see the added value of what it really is: cross-pollination.
Through informing and connecting, through various channels, in person and digitally, I have been sowing and reaping, sometimes quickly, often through connections built over years.
And often because of the healthy mix of understanding and respecting the foundations, while being very open to new pathways. It is for that reason that my personal slogan is “Stay Curious, Look Over the Fence and Listen to Evidence That Contradicts Your Beliefs.”
It makes for how I do what I do. Connect, inform, think out of the box, be creative, inventive, flexible, patient. Strategize. Strategize, build. Some for free as I believe in karma. Some paid-for, because if you’re good at something, you should never do it for free. Except for being kind. And it is all about making good connections… It takes years sometimes, but good connections always yield.
This year in ICBC I am wearing multiple hats again, and it is all part of cross-pollination.
🧢 With Juice News I inform and got to know so many of professionals in the juice, beverage, and citrus ingredients industry, a huge privilege.
🧢 With Citrodex I am bringing citrus data and insights to a new level. In September you will get to see and experience that. Find me in ICBC for a preview.
🧢 With indupro I still connect people in business, spreading the love for fruit juices and by-products within an amazing network.
🧢 And then, something that is really close to my heart on many fronts: The IFU, the International Fruit and Vegetable Juice Association.
Becoming the Ambassador for the USA (as announced this week) marries my knowledge of what trends and developments are shaping the future of this industry, with a network of super companies that can actually make that happen: Safely, together, with a worldly mindset and understanding of what’s good for the source, the industry, retail and the consumer.
For the latter, I need to send a special thank you to Tatiana Campos and Kees Cools for the various conversations leading up to this. Thanks to them, this is going to be a very interesting and great challenge!
Seeing this list it seems like a lot. Yet I divide and allocate my time most efficiently, with self-created curation tools and a bunch of (AI) automation.
So, back to the title… I’m more than happy to talk to my network in Clearwater, during ICBC. During or after this event, please book your meeting here.
